Board of Adjustments


The Board hears specific variances from appropriate provisions of the Code as will not contrary to the public interest, in cases where literal enforcement of the Code will result in unnecessary hardship for the applicant.


Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of every other month, or as needed, at 5:30 p.m.

Board Membership

The Board is made up of five regular board members and three alternate board members. Each board member is appointed by the City Commission for a term of three years. If you wish to apply, please visit Board and Committees to download an application.


All members must be a resident of the City of Lake Alfred and has resided in the City for no less than one year.
