Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) Board


The mission of the CRA Board is to eliminate and prevent conditions of slum and blight by facilitating redevelopment activities and encouraging private investment.  The purpose of the CRA Board is to carry out the Lake Alfred Community Redevelopment Plan for the Community Redevelopment Area in order to accomplish the vision.  The CRA Board will establish and maintain a budget and Capital Improvement Program (CIP) which is audited each year.  See the  Community Redevelopment Area page for these documents and more information.


Meetings are generally held twice a year (March and August) or as needed.  The meetings will coincide with regular City Commission meetings.  The CRA Bylaws provide the operating policies and procedures for the Board.  The proposed schedule is posted on the Meeting Schedules page and Events Calendar page.  For more information regarding meeting topics, please visit the Agenda and Minutes page.

Board Membership

The Board includes all five seated City Commissioners and up to two citizen/business representatives as needed. Each board member is appointed by the City Commission for a term of four years. If you wish to apply, please visit Board and Committees to download an application.


All members must be a resident or represent a business within the City of Lake Alfred.
