The Board administers and is responsible for the proper operation of the General Employees’ retirement plan.
Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of every quarter at 3:00 p.m.

The Board is made up of seven board members. Three of the board members must be legal residents of the City and are appointed by the City Commission; three members must be employees of the City and are elected by a majority of their peers; the seventh member is chosen by the previous six board members. All members must be a resident of the City of Lake Alfred and has resided in the City for no less than one year; must be an employee who participates in the retirement system.
