Pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 100.021, Florida Statutes, notice is hereby given that the CITY OF LAKE ALFRED will hold the following election under the conditions specified:

For City Commissioner, Place Seat No’s. 3 & 4 for a term of Four (4) years

and Four (4) proposed Charter Amendments

MUNICIPAL ELECTION             Tuesday, April 6, 2021

The Municipal Election is held At-Large.

 

POLLING LOCATION

Precinct 312
City Hall located at 120 East Pomelo Street, Lake Alfred, FL.  33850

The precinct will open at 7:00 A.M. and close at 7:00 P.M., on election day.

 

VOTER REGISTRATION DEADLINE

MUNICIPAL ELECTION   – Monday, March 8, 2021

To be eligible to vote in the Municipal Election, you must reside within the municipal boundaries of the City of Lake Alfred and be registered to vote with the Polk County Supervisor of Elections.

To request a vote-by-mail ballot, please contact the Polk County Supervisor of Elections at 863-534-5888 or visit polkelections.com.

Events or meetings may constitute a public meeting when two or more City Commissioners or Planning Commissioners attend and discuss issues that may come before the City Commission.

Building Permit and Inspection Utilization Report

Florida Statute 553.80 requires, by December 31, 2020, the governing body of a local government that provides a schedule of building permit fees shall create a building permit and inspection utilization report and post the report on its website. This is the City of Lake Alfred’s report based on fiscal year 2019/20.

CRA Annual Report

In accordance with S. 163.356(3)(c), Florida Statutes, the City of Lake Alfred CRA has developed the annual report of its activities f, including a complete financial statement setting forth assets, liabilities, income, and operating expenses as of the end of the fiscal year.  This report has been filed with the City Clerk and is available for inspection during business hours in the office of the City Clerk, located at City Hall, 155 E Pomelo Street, Lake Alfred, FL 33850, phone number 863-291-5270 or on the CRA Page.


Annual Financial Audit

The annual financial audit has been completed and the comprehensive annual financial report will be presented to the City Commission meeting and then posted on the Finance Page after the presentation.
