The Lake Alfred Finance Department is proud to serve its citizens by preparing an annual budget for the City, monthly financial reporting to management, fixed asset control, payroll process and accounts payable.Other responsibilities of the Finance Office include monthly utility billing for City utilities, customer service for utility accounts, guidance and support of the City’s information technology and network services.
The City of Lake Alfred is proud of its Annual Budget being presented the GFOA Distinguished Budget Award for the 3rd consecutive year.The GFOA established the Distinguished Budget Presentation Awards Program (Budget Awards Program) in 1984 to encourage and assist state and local governments to prepare budget documents of the very highest quality that reflect both the guidelines established by the National Advisory Council on State and Local Budgeting and the GFOA’s best practices on budgeting and then recognize individual governments that succeed in achieving that goal.
