Code Enforcement Officer Community Development 14.76 per hour Open Until Filled
This is professional work within the Community Development Department involving proactive enforcement of City codes and ordinances including but not limited to: land use and zoning issues, lot mowing, signs, nuisance complaints, and building permit violations. The major duties of the officer will be conducting field inspections and background investigations, compiling information, generating notices of violation and citations, preparing case reports, and presented cases at a monthly Special Magistrate hearing. The position is supervised by the Community Development Director.

Building Official Community Development $51,882 – $58,428 Open Until Filled
This is a highly responsible managerial work involving municipal administration, building inspection, and enforcement.  Responsible for direct regulatory administration, enforcement, and inspection of building construction, erection, repair, addition, remodeling, demolition, or alteration projects that require permitting indicating compliance with building, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, gas, fire prevention, energy, accessibility, flood control and other related codes as required by state law or City ordinance.  The objective of such codes is to ensure that all construction and other work accomplished in the City meets the technical standards for workmanship and safety in order to promote the health, welfare and safety of the City’s citizenry.  The employee must be thoroughly knowledgeable of the existing municipal codes and keep abreast of changes and trends in the field of building inspection and construction codes.  Accountable to and works under the direction of the Community Development Director.

Communications Operator Police $28,182 – $31,737 Open Until Filled
Performs work within a twenty-four (24) hour per day, seven (7) days per week, emergency dispatch center taking both police and fire calls for service and dispatching the appropriate service calls.  Answers equipment (phones, radios and E911 calls) to receive and/or respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for assistance/information from officers and the general public to assist in the protection of life and property. Accountable to and works under the direction of the Police Chief.  Full Time position with full benefits package and pension.

Police Officer Police $33,656 – $37,799 Open Until Filled
Responsible Police Work in the protection of life & property through the enforcement of laws & ordinances.  Assists the public in the prevention and reporting of criminal activity, documentation of evidence, traffic enforcement and traffic accidents. Accountable to and works under the direction of the Police Chief.  H.S. Grad or GED.  Certification as a Police Officer by the Florida Department of Criminal Justice, Standards, & Training Required. Salary range: $33,565-$37,799 + full benefits, take home vehicle and pension.

Summer Recreation Bus Driver Parks & Recreation $13.14 per hour Open Until Filled
Temporary position for the Summer Recreation Program. Approximately seven weeks in length.  Directly responsible for the transporting of camp staff and participants to and from special events and field trips. All trip destinations and departure/return times will be coordinated by the Lead Summer Recreation Counselor and/or the Parks & Recreation Director.

Part-Time Service Worker Parks & Recreation $12.40 per hour Open Until Filled
Responsible for care and maintaining of city parks, ball fields, basketball courts, tennis courts, and all other recreational facilities. Required to participate in all City sponsored special events.  Accountable to and works under the direction of the Parks and Recreation Director.
