Pill Drop-off Program

Here’s your opportunity to start spring cleaning right in your own medicine cabinet! The City of Lake Alfred is now a permanent facility accepting prescription medication 24hours a day 7 days a week.

The initiative began with Stand-UP Polk and local law enforcement agencies joining the Drug Enforcement Agency’s nationwide program.  Citizens may turn in unused, expired, or unwanted Human and Pet Medications for safe and proper disposal. Medications should be kept in a clear, air-tight plastic bag.  No liquid medications can be accepted.

For more information on the local Pill Drop contact the Lake Alfred Police Department at (863)291-5200 or StandUP Polk at (863) 802-0777.
