At the regularly scheduled Commission Meeting on Monday, July 25, 2022, Parks & Recreation Director Richard Weed presented Service Worker III Cheryl Vice with her five years of service award.
Cheryl Vice came to work for the Parks and Recreation department in March of 2018 after working as a part-time employee for the streets department. As a part-time employee, Cheryl did a great job and was quickly noticed. When the opportunity for a full-time position became available, she was the first choice to be promoted.
Cheryl has now been a full-time employee with the City for five years. In her five years of service, she has shown a desire to learn and try new tasks. Cheryl has a great work ethic and will always find a way to go above and beyond. As a result of her diligence, she was previously named an employee of the quarter and promoted to service worker III.
She comes to work every day with the attitude of getting the job done and never complains. Cheryl is always available to help after hours or on the weekend when the need arises and seems to love her job. For her hard work and dedication to the City, I would like to thank Cheryl for her five years of service and for her dedication to the parks and recreation department.
