The City Commission meeting start at 7:00 PM in City Hall, 120 E. Pomelo Street on Monday, April 6, 2026 and Monday, April 20, 2026.

The City of Lake Alfred Spring Clean Up week is Monday, April 13th - April 17th. Drop off of Hazardous Materials will be from 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM at 515 W. Haines Blvd.

Lake Alfred Summer Camp registration opens on March 9, 2026. Camp dates are June 8 - July 24, and hours are 7:30 am - 5:30 pm Monday - Friday. The day camp cost is $550 for seven weeks. The Southwest Florida Water Management District has declared a Modified Phase II Severe Water Shortage due to dry conditions throughout the region. Polk County is one of several counties that must follow a one-day-per-week watering schedule. Lawn watering is limited to once per week from February 8, 2026, through July 1, 2026, regardless of the water source. 

• Properties two acres or smaller may water only before 8 a.m. or after 6 p.m.
• Properties larger than two acres may only water before 10 a.m. or after 4 p.m.
