The City of Lake Alfred Spring Clean Up week is Monday, April 13th - April 17th. Drop off of Hazardous Materials will be from 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM at 515 W. Haines Blvd.
Lake Alfred Summer Camp registration opens on March 9, 2026. Camp dates are June 8 - July 24, and hours are 7:30 am - 5:30 pm Monday - Friday. The day camp cost is $550 for seven weeks. Cost includes field trips, crafts, games, breakfast, lunch, and more. Parents will need a photo ID and the student's most recent report card for registration. The Southwest Florida Water Management District has declared a Modified Phase II Severe Water Shortage due to dry conditions throughout the region. Polk County is one of several counties that must follow a one-day-per-week watering schedule. Lawn watering is limited to once per week from February 8, 2026, through July 1, 2026, regardless of the water source.
