Mr. Jack Dearmin was born in Denver, Colorado. He has traveled the United States and Germany in the 1960s and 1970s due to his father serving the military for 24 years. He moved to Florida in 1980.
Mr. Dearmin is employed by Legoland Florida Resort. Previously, he was employed by Marriott of Orlando for 28 years. His previous work experience also includes working at Walgreens, Winn-Dixie, and Frito Lay in Florida.
He is a graduate of Northwest High School and attended Austin Peay University in Clarksville, Tennessee.
Public Service
Mr. Dearmin has been a resident of the City of Lake Alfred since 1986 and his wife is a native of Lake Alfred. He has served on the City's Parks and Recreation Board from January 2002 until he was elected to the City Commission in April 2007. He also served as Vice President of the Lake Alfred Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Dearmin is very involved with his community. He serves as a member of the Friends of the Library and still active with the Lake Alfred Chamber of Commerce. He has also served as a representative of Lake Alfred for the Polk County Transportation Planning Organization (TPO) and is a member of the First Baptist Church.
